'Cast 2', a new work for bass clarinet, cello and a tape part which treats the voice of Loré Lixenberg, will receive its first performance at The Nunnery, 183 Bow Road, London E3 2SJ on 3rd November 2011 at 6.30 pm as part of Nunnery New Music's Text:Sound event curated by Anton Lukoszevieze.
On 17th November Andrew Sparling will give the premiere of 'Still/s 7' for solo clarinet as part of Listen to This: Music We'd Like To Hear in Falmouth, a Sound and Music project.
Emsley is currently working on an ELISION commission for recorder and cello, to be scheduled for performance in 2012.
The German pianist Steffen Schleiermacher has recently recorded a CD of British new music which includes 3 pieces by Emsley.

A recording of Richard Emsley's work was released on Metier in
2002. Performed by Topologies, the CD includes a cross-section of works for ensemble and solo instruments. Further details on the recordings page.
